Guided Museum / Art Fair Tours
Our tours are all about a rich cultural experience for mothers. We work with the museums to best structure the tours to cater to our specific group needs. Tours are guided, small and private. Fathers, grand-parents, friends, aunts and uncles are always welcomed. Tours are stroller friendly and include caregiver assistance. Babies and children are with mothers at all time. Activities for toddlers can be included at no extra cost and should be discussed with us prior to the start of the tours.

The Bata Shoe Museum

The Museum celebrates the style and function of footwear in four impressive galleries. Footwear on display ranges from Chinese bound foot shoes and ancient Egyptian sandals to chestnut-crushing clogs and glamourous platforms. Over 4,500 years of history and a collection of 20th-century celebrity shoes are reflected in the semi-permanent exhibition, All About Shoes.The tour is led by a Bata shoe museum docent and will offer us overview of the collection, the history and customs of its features pieces which offers a great overview of the role and we will see how much shoes changed decade by decade in response to design, politics, and social change.
The tour is $20 per participant and children under 5, $5 for children above 5. Applicable taxes are not included in fee. Registrars can browse the Bata Show museum at their leisure following the tour.

AGO - Julian Schnabel: Art and Film

American art superstar Julian Schnabel has spent his life pushing the limits of painting and crossing artistic boundaries as an award-winning filmmaker. Now, for the first time, a major retrospective examines the connections between painting and film in Schnabel’s work, tracing how his paintings exist in dialogue with the cinema and revealing the rich interplay between the two media. Julian Schnabel: Art and Film surveys Schnabel’s work as a painter from the mid-1970s to the present and features more than 25 key works. The exhibition will occupy the entire fifth floor of the Art Gallery of Ontario’s Vivian & David Campbell Centre for Contemporary Art. The tour is led by an AGO education officer. Groups are kept small and intimate. Tours offer a friendly and inviting discovery of the gallery and overview of the exhibit. Tour costs includes museum admission and art consultant services.
The tour is $28 per adult and children under 6. $10 for children above 6 years of age. Additional parent, grand-parent, friend or relative is $25. Fee for AGO members is $15: enter the details into the comments box upon registration. Applicable taxes are not included in fee. Registrars can browse the AGO at their leisure following the tour.

Textile Museum of Canada

The Textile Museum of Canada is one of Toronto's most engaging visual arts organizations. With more than 12,000 objects from more than 200 countries and regions, the TMC's permanent collection celebrates cultural diversity and includes traditional fabrics, garments, carpets and related artifacts such as beadwork and basketry. The tour is lead by a Textile Museum docent who will tour us through a selection of textiles from the museum's permanent collection, you'll see a variety of traditions and innovations in the world of textiles. You will be invited to explore and discover as the textiles reveal their lives and the lives of their creators. The focus of the gallery will shift periodically to different areas of the world, and some of the textiles will be replaced with related examples.
The tour is $22 per adult and children under 5. $10 for children above 5 years of age. Additional parent, grand-parent, friend or relative is $20. Applicable taxes are not included in fee. Registrars can browse the museum at their leisure following the tour.

AGO - Maharaja: the Splendour of India's Royal Courts

The Art Gallery of Ontario unveils an extraordinary exhibition that explores in depth the opulent world of the maharajas, from the beginning of the eighteenth century to the mid-twentieth century. Maharaja: The Splendour of India’s Royal Courts brings to Canada for the first time more than 200 spectacular works of art created for India’s great kings — including paintings, furniture, decorative arts and jewellery. These magnificent objects chronicle the many aspects of royal life and celebrate a legacy of cultural patronage by generations of maharajas, both in India and in Europe. Payment Policy
A secured link for payment via credit card will be sent to you with your registration confirmation e-mail. Check payments are accepted and should be discussed with the Art Strollers.
Payment is to be received no later than 10 days following the registration or by the start of the class, whichever comes first.
Refund Policy and missed classes
Cancellations leading up to the start of the class series will be eligible for 70% refund. No refunds are available on or after the beginning of the class series. Individual classes are not refundable.
In the case of a missed class, one make-up class is available for reschedule. The make-up will be discussed with Art Strollers and will depend on availabilities.
Waiver of Liability
By Clicking on "I have read and agree with the terms and conditions and the waiver of liability." the "I" refers to the Art Strollers Corporation registrar hereby referred to as the "Undersigned" and agrees to the following: the Undersigned, for herself/himself, his personal representatives, heirs, and next of kin hereby releases, waives, discharges and covenants not to sue Art Strollers Corporation and each of them, their directors, officers, agents and employees, all for the purpose herein referred to as “Releasees,” from all liability to the Undersigned, his personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and next of kin for any and all loss or damage, and any claims or demands thereof on account of injury to the person or property, whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise.
